Hello and welcome to Guided Wellness! I am so glad you are here; you being here and considering therapy for yourself is a brave, empowered choice. I know that depression, anxiety and trauma / PTSD can make it feel difficult to talk about your struggle. That’s why my number one priority is to create a space where you feel safe and confident to explore your story with me. I want you to know that therapy is a collaboration between us. We are in this together, right in the middle of Southern Utah.
I like to think of counseling as an opportunity to focus on yourself, with intention and compassion for what you’re experiencing. In fact, many of my clients have expressed that while therapy can feel like hard, at times difficult work it was a treat to have time to focus on themselves and work toward having a better life. Imagine, your low self esteem begins to rise. Self respect becomes a daily experience. Stress lightens and you begin to confidently set boundaries in your relationships.
Depression, anxiety and trauma / PTSD can make you feel like you are crazy and broken; neither is true. As I work with clients we find that each session lends to more clarity as we uncover that you are (and always have been) valuable, you can make choices now and you do have a right to feel safe and respected. My clients tell me again and again that their hour in session goes by very quickly due to the intense focus, and that there’s a sense of accomplishing something important.
I have a unique passion for holistic health and well-being. There are many ways to heal, and I enjoy working with clients who want to try something different and co-create a path to healing that is unique to them and their needs. There is no one way to the healing you desire and I enjoy the process of creating an individualized place for each person I work with at Guided Wellness Counseling.
